WHAT WE DO
We have a unique wide range of experience, knowledge and understanding that has been recognised by staff nationwide. Our confidential contact system has been the backbone of our strength and this, together with the foundation of complete trust built up over years, have established our association as an organisation that gets results. From housing challenges to mental health issues, from medical card application to mortgage re-finance and from addiction challenges to reunification visa applications there is no challenge too big for our team. If you need help, we can help you.
We know that stable staff contribute so much to the industry. They have been recognised as the superfood of the industry without them the industry will wither and die. We have never been prepared to let this happen.
Recruitment retention and development of employees across all sectors is challenging in the current climate and racing is no different. With the new budget approved for Industry Education & Training and with the introduction of a welfare framework to ensure the correct supports are in place to retain our current world class workforce, along with the creation of an overall education framework, our industry is in a really strong position.
As you will agree, stable staff are privileged. We get to look after these magical loving equine friends on behalf of their owners. We get to experience the day to day love and build a unique relationship with every one of them. When you go racing or look at it on TV, just look at the faces of the staff; win, lose or draw you will see the unquestionable love they have for their equine friends. This is so evident when you talk to stable staff before a race. If you listen, they will refer to their equine friends as MY HORSE and their to employer as WE HAVE A RUNNER. Multinational companies spend millions trying to get employees to take ownership of their workstation and racing staff have this in abundance from the youngest to the oldest. This has not gone unnoticed and with the support since 2015 and the introduction of The Stud And Stable Staff Awards (very kindly sponsored by his Highness Sheikh Mohammed) Irish Stable Staff are and will always be held in the highest regard and respected worldwide.
